Call center representative

The job required agents to contact or cold call, home owners affected by weather situations and set up a free roof inspection. This particular position brought some extremely useful knowledge. I learned the importance of using your tone of voice, word choice and positive energy. It is here where I adopted the Smile and Dial. All this entails is to smile when conducting your duties. Be happy. To this day I can swear you can conduct your smile and positive energy through that telephone line and have it affect your caller. They can see you smile. In any case, this job was amazing. It kept me on my toes at all times. I learned a lot in time i was there.

Collections requires one to encompass a vast array of skills, if one desires to reach the goals set by the job description. I mean, one must be a psychologist in order to connect, and understand with the customer. Then, you must become the IRS and get the money that's past due. Collections is almost like an art. It has a method. One must become familiar with the method of collections in order to be successful in one`s collection efforts. For example, I learned the Its Never About the Money technique. You simply structure your call flow around a subject where the money is not important. Of course, it always is.  It’s somewhat of a very special practice.

My job consisted of assisting Dish customers with technical issues. Those can range from a remote with low batteries to helping them hone in to a satellite needed to gain proper signal. It was a very tedious, but very fulfilling at the same time.  This marked the beginning of my call center experience. I took my first call in my life in this call center. 

I attended United South High School, where I graduated top ten percent of my class in the distinguished plan. I also participated in UIL Lincoln Douglass debate where I got to win a couple times. I found UIL to be extremely fun, and of course very educational. The cases that we were required to create revolves around the top political concerns of the time, like Guantanamo Bay's prisoners of war, or the dissolution of the space program. Afterwards I attended T.A.M.I.U for two years where I was majoring in political science and minoring in philosophy. I would love to finish my degree at some point in the foreseeable future.
