Job Description.
This position manages a diverse and multi-layered team who are responsible for delivering Best-In-Class Category Leadership to Mars Chocolate.
The team is highly involved with advising in all aspects of category-centric and shopper-centric needs required to drive sales, distribution and customer relationships.
This role will lead setting strategy and learning agenda for Mars Chocolate within our categories.
Acts as voice regarding required future Shopper Insights research; Communicates feedback regarding national shelving guidelines and is instrumental in providing input in Leadership Platforms.
This Director will be responsible for developing the strategy to grow these categories via selection, pricing and marketing efforts, partnering with our internal teams, and driving towards top and bottom line P&L goals.
What will be your key responsibilities? Have full P&L ownership; Lead a team encompassing assortment, pricing, promotions, forecasting, budgeting, etc; Optimize the category for sales and profit growth; Customer Facing Focus.
Focus on delivering solution-oriented recommendations to Mars through coaching and leading team members; Strategy & Planning.
Assists Leadership in developing long term strategy for function.
Negotiates 3rd party vendors with Procurement; Implements Test and Learn capabilities; Manages and implements account category priorities existing and new; Develops and publishes top-down measures and targets; Team Development & Training.
Develops comprehensive training plan for the function; Builds tool training; Conducts ongoing skills assessment for goal setting and continuous improvement; What can you expect from Mars? Work with over diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.
