This Employee Communications role is part of the Comms & IAR team Marketing & Communications (M&C) organization in ABB E-mobility, led by the CMO.
Based on its brand purpose to \u201Csupport customers to electrify mobility\u201D M&C\us core responsibility is to position ABB E-mobility as a reliable partner and authority in the industry and to enable our colleagues across the organization to fulfill their mandates, with insightful and actionable content as well as activating our brand internally and externally.
Through a proactive communications approach, we seek to positively influence our brand's positioning and perception, turning our employees into passionate brand ambassadors.
We envision one centralized M&C function that takes immense pride in crafting a recognizable brand, setting the standard for excellence.
\n\nCommunications & Industry Analysts Relations (IAR) is a small team which is still in a build-up phase.
This team will strengthen and scale engagement with media, influencers, employees, and customers globally and in the regions to position ABB E-mobility as a reliable partner and authority in electrifying mobility/EV space.
Internally, the team will drive engagement, understanding, commitment and pride, turning our people into true advocates.
The team is also playing a crucial role in supporting our transformation with meaningful activities and content.
\n\nWe are looking for a Employee Communications Lead who is seasoned in corporate internal communications, has long-standing experience in counseling executives and other senior leaders on internal communications strategies.
The candidate should be an expert in translating business objectives into meaningful communication plans and messaging.
Your responsibilities The ideal candidate is flexible and able to navigate ambiguity and succeed in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, dead-line driven environment with multiple priorities.
Having strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully influence and work across functions and personalities, are key competencies in this role.
This future colleague should feel comfortable working in a small and nimble Communications team, supported by externals or agencies where needed.
We envision to hire a lead for the IAR team within the next 12 months.
Until then, this communications role reports directly into the CMO.
As part of the team, you will be responsible to develop and execute employee engagement strategies for building a common, independent culture, brand and strategy in ABB E-mobility.
Your key responsibilities are.
To design and execute efficient employee communication plans including campaigns, messaging, rolling three months activity calendar and content creation; To orchestrate the overall planning, coordination and alignment of internal strategy, culture, organizational and transformational communications activities.
To work closely with the leadership team to translate the business objectives into meaningful communications activities, providing advice and support for the leadership team members in delivering impactful communications and ensuring an appropriate cadence and consistent, meaningful messaging for the various audiences.
To ensure that the planning and execution is aligned with the overall communications and marketing plans, and to carry out measurement that ensures continuous improvement; To manage content and conversations in the relevant channels ranging from town halls and videos to internal social media and blog posts.
Your background You should have a minimum of 8-10 years of internal corporate communications experience, ideally in the technology industry for a company with a start-up culture or in a communications agency, supporting those tech companies.
You must have very strong written and verbal communications skills and must be a known team player and collaborator.

Have a relevant university degree; Have excellent message creation, writing and editorial skills; Can easily identify opportunities for stakeholder interventions and rapid\u202Fresponses in conversations and user\u202Fgenerated\u202Fcontent; Have a radar for picking up employee sentiments and interpret them; Understands the social media universe and maintains a mix of participation (personally and professionally) among various channels demonstrating authenticity individually and for the company; Looks for a solution when faced with roadblocks; Has a strong team work ethic and is able to effectively work within a team that is geographically dispersed; Is eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility; Is able to guide internal and external resources and agencies.
Writing samples and references will also be required.
Location\tThis role is based in Delft, the Netherlands Travel\u\u\u\tA minimum of 25% of your time will be spent traveling.
