Job Description The Software Quality Engineer will report to the Product Quality Manager within the Supply Chain function and will support Video Products.
This individual will be a “change agent” and will integrate quality checks throughout the development cycle of software tools and applications.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring the development team is testing for quality throughout the product development cycle by understanding existing development processes so they can integrate quality checks.
This role will also be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of processes and procedures used for improving the efficiency of quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities.
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases and scenarios Identify test requirements, priorities, objectives based on project goals and user needs Collaborate with developers, business analyst and stakeholders to understand system requirements and acceptance criteria Design and implement automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing process Execute manual and automated tests to validate system functionality, performance and security Perform exploratory testing to uncover defects and usability issues not covered by existing test cases Document test results, defects and issues in a clear and concise manner, and track them to resolution Establish and enforce quality assurance standards, processes and best practices Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure quality is built into the product Utilize agile project management tools to track progress and document technical specifications Stay abreast of emerging software quality assurance technologies and best practices Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools and methodologies Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions and technical discussions Identify and resolve technical challenges and performance issues with software Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure quality and reliability of software through automated testing Troubleshoot and debug software issues Candidates based in Guadalajara with availability to work occasionally from our office are preferred.
However, we are open to consider candidates from other locations in Mexico interested in a remote role.
