Reporting to the R&D Chapter Leader Electronics Hardware, you will contribute creative ideas to R&D projects, propose innovative technology development projects and run activities based on your novel ideas.
You will cooperate in a cross-functional agile team, with other engineers inside and outside the company to solve industrial problems.
Your team provides, discovers, develops and cares for innovative electronic technologies and designs and new applications in data analytics on embedded systems to be used across multiple product lines within the Smart Power division in ABB\us Electrification business area.

This position reports to R&D Chapter Leader Electronics Hardware Your responsibilities You design, develop, and implement analog and digital circuits from early concept phase to validation in representative tests, including.
technology research and validation of its applicability; creation of schematics and definition of constraints for PCB layout; definition of verification specifications and execution of verification activities of your designs by simulation and prototype testing; documentation and handover of the developed technologies with subsequent implementation support in product development.
You contribute to discussions of intellectual property and secure patent rights for ABB by driving the IP creation.
You collaborate closely with system architects and software developers to breakdown system requirements to requirement specifications for hardware.
You monitor technology developments and technologies to identify technical drivers for R&D projects, supported by your thorough understanding of key business drivers for ABB\us products and solutions.
You participate in internal and external networks to expand your knowledge of your area of expertise.
You take responsibility for hardware development activities, as (senior) member, including risk identification, alignment with targets, and close coordination with suppliers and other functions.
