SENIOR CATEGORY SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The Senior Category Sales Representative will leverage their deep knowledge of the category and produce industry to anticipate markets and create procurement and sales opportunities.
In this highly collaborative and dynamic role, they will have daily interaction with grower/shippers, internal sales teams, and customers as they execute the supply chain for the category.
They will have a direct impact on the success of the category as they use their expertise and relationships to communicate and drive sales efforts for their category.
Responsibilities.
Communicates with suppliers daily to understand quality, yields, pricing, and production Leverages category expertise and industry practices with internal teams and customers to proactively call markets, drive sales growth, and mitigate potential losses Leads and influences transactional, promotional, and contract pricing recommendations Manages and leverages grower relationships daily to continually improve performance Builds new grower/supplier relationships to strengthen supply plan set forth by the Category Manager Complete understanding of the customer base, who are the key players, what are their goals, and how we should position our products with them to sell Aligns the right supply to the right customers, and communicate packing instructions to suppliers Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements Required Qualifications.
High School Diploma or GED Minimum 4 years of fresh produce experience in category Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and internationally) Preferred Qualifications.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university Recognized as a category expert Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment Excellent relationship building skills with customers, growers, and internal teams Strong written and verbal communication skills Skilled negotiator with growers and customers Great attitude, with a desire to contribute, learn, and grow professionally Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, sometimes out of normal business hours Attention to detail with high standards for work; a customer service mindset Values a diverse and inclusive work environment Questioning if you meet the mark?
