\n\nIt\us time to rewrite your future \u welcome to ABB! Your responsibilities Lead engineer of power electronics systems and control focusing on medium-voltage converter platforms used as electrical drives and static frequency converters.
Research, development and productization of control, modulation and estimation methods for power conversion systems, among them MP3C.
Lead and participate in R&D projects, generate intellectual property, and support the organization with your systems and control expertise Collaborate with ABB's global business units, ABB\us Corporate Research Centers and universities Your background MSc or preferably PhD degree in power electronics with strong expertise in converter system aspects and modeling including medium-voltage multilevel converters, electrical machines, drive systems and static frequency converters Strong expertise in control theory and applied control methods, particularly modern control formulated in the time domain including model predictive control Keen interest in advanced modulation methods for three-phase systems (pulse width modulation, optimized pulse patterns) and mathematical optimization (nonlinear programming) Good command of English, German language skills are beneficial but not a necessity Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills Highly motivated, creative and self-organizing team player with the ability to lead projects More about us ABB System Drives is a global supplier of high-power, high-performance drives, drive systems and packages for industrial processes and large infrastructure applications.
