System Drives in Switzerland develops and produces medium voltage converter products for various industries and applications, including large motor drives, offshore wind, marine transportation, shore-to-ship, and other static frequency converter applications.
n\nIn our Product Engineering team, we are currently looking for a highly motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to support our Medium-Voltage drives portfolio.
n\nIn this role you will be part of the engineering team and report to the Engineering Manager.
You will support to maintain the product portfolio, generate project specific mechanical drawings and documentation, and create update kits for our installed base.
Your responsibilities Mechanical engineering of medium voltage drives for different applications Creating, modifying & maintaining mechanical drawings in M-CAD (Solid Edge / Creo) Generating complete (spare) part lists in SAP & collaborate with Business Online Providing mechanical designs with minimal guidance from the Manager Preparing update instructions, supporting to creation of interface documentation, and implementing red corrections from the production into the drawings Coordinating with electrical engineering and production lines Creation of the corresponding technical documentation (3D, 2D drawings,...) Collaboration in continuous product and process improvement Your background Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or related field Experience in designing mechanical parts and drawings with the usage of different tools High sense of responsibility and commitment Self-driven personality Experience with Office365, SAP, M-CAD (Solid Edge, Creo, Windchill) Knowledge of ABB\us Products (ABB Internal training) Fluent in English & German Benefits Canteen Flexible work practices Gym membership More about us ABB System Drives is a global supplier of high-power, high-performance drives, drive systems and packages for industrial processes and large infrastructure applications.
