INTERNATIONAL TAXES SPECIALIST

You will be an integral part of the sales and use tax team.
Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to.
sales/use tax exemption validations, exemption trainings, tax engine / exemption system administration, projects related to exemptions and exempt system and process improvements.
You will be responsible to ensure Siemens Operating Companies are in compliance with exemption documentation requirements while achieving assigned objectives and targets.
You will report to the Indirect Tax Manager of Global Business Services of Siemens.
The mission of the department is to provide comprehensive support to all represented Siemens Operating Companies for transactional taxes including.
Sales and Use taxes, Property taxes, Business Licenses; compliance, and annual reports.
You will be an individual contributor who demonstrates leadership skills, a comprehensive knowledge and principles of sales and use taxes.
This position will interface with both internal and external contacts.
External contacts will include taxing authorities, vendors, and partners.  Main Responsibilities:  • Sales tax exemption validating • Sales tax exemption matrices  • Sales Tax exemption campaigns • Develop and provide sales tax trainings • Administer tax exemption / engine systems • Taxability troubleshooting • Migration and Acquisition exemption & system tasks • Maintain desktop procedures  Secondary Responsibilities.
• Enter Support Portal (ServiceNow) tickets (Exemption Renewals) • Assign Support Portal (ServiceNow) ticket as needed • Review/Research/Respond to Level 1 Support Portal (ServiceNow) tickets Projects  • Actively contribute and participate in assigned departmental goals and objectives to meet Siemens balance scorecard for assigned targets for financial, customer, process and employee targets.  Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience.
• Bachelor's Degree required, Accounting or Information Technology highly preferred  • 3+ years of sales & use tax exemption compliance • 3+ years of ERP or tax engine system administration • Ability to multi-task multiple projects and have strong attention to detail  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of tax compliance systems  o (i.
