HR CONSULTANT, M&A

The HR Consultant, M&A is a unique role that supports our organization’s global growth strategy.
You’ll be at the forefront of orchestrating key HR activities for acquisition & divestiture deals including a strong focus on change management strategies.
You will be operating within a fast-paced, dynamic environment partnering closely with key stakeholders across the globe.
About the Role In this opportunity as HR Consultant (M&A) you will focus on.
Due Diligence & Integration Partnership.
Working alongside HR subject matter experts, you'll shape due diligence and integration plans spanning immigration, recruiting, benefits, compensation, payroll, time and attendance, retirement plans, stock/equity, HR compliance, employee relations, diversity & inclusion, performance management and more.
You will work closely with HR teams on talent management & organizational design to understand talent & retention needs, org structures and workforce planning strategies to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
Change Management.
You will develop and implement the HR change management strategies (in partnership with HRBPs, Communications and Business Leaders) ensuring alignment with overall integration objectives, timelines and other workstreams across Thomson Reuters that impact the employee experience.
You will drive the change readiness/impact analysis for employees on both sides of a deal and lead strong stakeholder engagement & communications support to keep employees and HR stakeholders informed, engaged and aligned with changes to HR policies, procedures and systems.
You will partner with HR and Communications on employee engagement, culture integration, training and development offerings aimed at ensuring a great onboarding and integration experience for colleagues, managers and teams.
You will establish a measurement strategy and conduct regular assessments and post-implementation reviews to measure change effectiveness and go-forward actions.
Continuous Improvement.
You will develop and execute on a wide range of continuous improvement initiatives within the M&A COE by standardizing and streamlining HR M&A processes that deliver value.
Your pursuit of improvement will incorporate regular retrospectives & stakeholder feedback gathering to improve & evolve our M&A playbook and other operating mechanisms.
This role is part of the broader HR Consulting Pool team.
When M&A deal volume is low, you will get involved in other HR-related projects that drive our People OKRs and improvements to the overall employee experience.
About You You’re a fit for the role of HR Consultant (M&A) if your background includes.
Proven skills in change management, organizational development, or related areas.
Knowledge of change management methodologies and best practices required (e.
.
change management certification or deep experience leading large-scale change initiatives).
M&A experience preferred.
Demonstrated strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex initiatives within fast-paced environments, handling tight deadlines and global stakeholders to deliver results.
Excellent written & verbal English communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proven effectiveness in adaptability towards constantly changing project variables.
Ability to work quickly & creatively to formulate plans, make decisions and produce deliverables and amidst uncertainty and on short notice.
Demonstrated effectiveness co-creating and collaborating with a variety of global, matrixed teams.
Flexibility to collaborate regularly across various time zones is required.
Strong critical thinking skills and an analytical mindset to evaluate HR processes, identify risks, and develop data-driven solutions that lead to continuous improvement outcomes.
