This role is required to be located in Brazil Your role.
You will develop and implement government relations and public policy strategy for Latin America, in consultation with other key functions including legal, communications/marketing, reimbursement, business lines, LAM country heads, medical affairs, regulatory and others as necessary.
  You report to the Head of Government Relations for the Americas, but be responsible for acting as a liaison to business leaders and other internal functions in LAM.
You serve as company liaison to, and foster relationships with, key members of government, patient advocacy groups, physician specialty societies and industry groups to promote company interests.
You prepare policy briefings, testimony for pending legislative actions, and provide thought leadership and recommendations to influence public policy debate.
You ensure appropriate company participation in government forums, patient advocacy, specialty society and industry group meetings.
You work with leaders of government and industry to influence public policy, monitor government initiatives, advocate for specific plans to advance the company’s objectives and guide policy for public tenders.
You select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Your expertise.
Experience working in the medical device industry or other life science industry.
Experience navigating Latin America healthcare system.
Experience in Government Affairs or Public Affairs activities.
Demonstrated ability to analyze key regulatory and policy issues in light of the company’s strategic goals and to focus on those issues that advance the company’s competitive business interests.
Experience in developing partnerships with trade association, industry partners, think thanks and patient advocacy groups in order to push an agenda.
