The local product compliance expert must drive product material compliance (PMC) topics end to end for the local business of ABB Stotz Kontakt GmBH.
This role will include interacting with and influencing a variety of internal and external stakeholders including R&D, Product management, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Legal, Sales, Customer, and other partners.
He/she would be responsible to ensure the products produced in ABB Stotz Kontakt GmBH are compliant with the legal and market requirements in the domain of material compliance, which includes but not limited to regulations like REACH, RoHS, TSCA, Conflict Minerals, EU Waste Framework Directive, etc.
Your responsibilities Provide guidance and support to local teams (sales, procurement, product management, R&D) on material compliance topics.
Identify and respond to new legal requirements by initiating and driving necessary actions/projects.
Own and manage the local product material compliance process, including definition, documentation, implementation, and improvements.
Lead Material Compliance Network for experts and stay updated on material compliance regulations.
Coordinate the provision of existing material compliance documents and assist with regular and special customer requests.
In the absence of necessary information, collaborate with relevant stakeholders to perform risk assessments.
Validate data submitted to regulatory authorities to meet legal requirements.
Check and approve product material conformity declarations from suppliers during new product introductions.
Your background Working experience in a PMC context required (familiar with related requirement such as REACH, RoHS, TSCA, WFD, CM).
A team player and convinced with commitment, communications skills, and customer orientation.
Enjoy working in an multistakeholder environment with colleagues\u various departments.
Experienced in Quality Management (ISO ) and internal audits recommended.
Fluent written and spoken German (C1) & English.
