Experiencia
Teacher of English as a Foreign Language
University of Ixtlahuaca CUI, Mexico
sep 2015 - jun 2016
•	Taught upper-intermediate English to students of the BA in Languages. I listened to students and identified their learning styles so that I could develop effective teaching materials.
•	Teaching different subjects at universities and high schools, I adapted successfully to the teaching approaches required by each institution - different resources, lesson planning, academic organisation and extracurricular activities.
High School Coordinator
Telebachillerato Num. 396 High School, Mexico.
ago 2015 - sep 2016
•	This role was part of a government programme to establish High schools in disadvantaged rural areas and typically the government sent teams of three, of which for this school I was the lead.
•	Gave pastoral support to students and taught different subjects such as English and French as a foreign language, Spanish grammar, and Literature. Being responsible for the academic and administrative work, required effective time management and organizational skills in order to meet deadlines.
•	The most rewarding part of this job was impacting students’ world-view, inspiring and encouraging them to pursue further education.
English Teacher
Universidad del Valle de México
ago 2014 - ago 2015
•	Taught EFL to students of various degree programmes. I managed small and big groups (from 8 to 36 students) from beginners to advanced levels.
•	One of the main challenges I faced was raising the student pass and attendance rates. My strategy was to find out students’ perception towards the module, their hobbies, career goals, music and TV interests, etc., and I used this information to develop and implement creative and engaging classroom activities to attract their attention and make the class more enjoyable for them. Students had a very positive attitude and the pass rate greatly increased.
Spanish Foreign Language Assistant
Bishop Luffa School, Chichester, England
oct 2013 - jun 2014
•	Worked with year groups 8-13 helping students improve their fluency, vocabulary, grammar and cultural knowledge. I worked closely with the class teachers and sometimes I supported them in the classroom. I took out small groups of students for oral practice, and with sixth formers I covered topics such as young people and society, health and healthy living, school, the world of work, and life and culture in Spanish speaking countries for their GCSE and A level oral and written component.
•	I found teaching my native language so rewarding. I enjoyed applying my creative skills using authentic materials (movies, magazines, story books, stamps, board games, etc.) and relating them to different areas of the National Curriculum.

sep 2012 - jun 2013
•	Taught intermediate English to 18-year-old students. My role was to strengthen their abilities in reading, writing, listening and speaking. I really enjoyed working with young people, and developed an approachable, supportive and caring relationship with my students.
•	Worked collaboratively and learnt from experienced teachers in the development of mid-term and final examinations.
