assure all customs documentation is complete per customs specifications and the record keeping update.
assist to trade compliance mx and us with gathering information of product to classify and update annex 24 system.
roles & responsibilities.
· request the part number registration and/or changes on annex 24(customs inventory system) according to business requirements.
· request certificates of origin updates.
· create and review internationals documents required for shipments.
(commercial invoice, packing list, others) · escalation of any customs request and inquiry.
· logs and labels company’s assets, equipment, and tools.
· maintain recordkeeping.
· to operate under guidelines associated with duties and taxes and freight forwarder expenses.
· keep destination internal and external customers informed regarding their shipments.
· responsible for virtual operations.
· collect the necessary information to request the hs code for the goods.
· create documentation to clear customs, such as but not limited to commercial invoice, packing list.
· verify information is accurate on international documents regarding country of origin, value, hs code, description.
· coordinates logistics providers (broker, carrier, and freight forwarder, etc.) to clear customs.
· verify free trade agreements, duty preference programs and others that apply.
· coordinates and follow up shipments up to its destination.
· responsible of inventory at freight forwarder’s location.
· participate in the continuous improvement of current systems and processes.
