TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER - SCHOOLS (REMOTE, FIELD-BASED)

Our client is looking for a driven Senior IT Consultant / 3rd Level Support Engineer, to join their world-class company.
North West London area / South East England areas - Monday to FridayAt least 6 years of demonstrable computer network engineer experience, preferably supporting schools, colleges, academies or similarField support and team lead experience essentialGoogle Workspace For Education and some VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V experience highly desirable Full UK Driving Licence and own reliable car (essential requirement, please do not apply if you do not have this in place).

rovide extensive support and guidance on a wide range of IT services and technologies, including Microsoft, Google, and Apple platforms.
anage field support team in a particular area, providing escalated support for technical colleagues and directing clients via the relevant service board.
articipate in and lead IT project work at client sites, which are educational facilities in the territory.
orking with Account Managers as part of a “Client Team”, acting as Technical Lead for specific customers, recommending, advising, and guiding on their strategic IT plans.

Management of other IT Consultants in the area & delivery of regular 121sMonitor IT service board escalations and progress accordingly.

ttending site visits when necessary to help resolve issues.

Certification.
Relevant base-level certifications in appropriate networking or operating systems, e.

CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCP.
urrent network troubleshooting skills, including excellent 'working knowledge' of LAN & WAN technologies, including IPv4, VPNs, VLANs, iSCSI, SNMP etc.
dministration of Windows Active Directory, including Microsoft Office 365 suite and Azure Active Directory.
xperience with firewalls, SANs & either Cisco or Aruba switch networks.
xperience in configuring VMWare and Microsoft Hyper V Clustering.
xperience in recent Microsoft Server builds.
