Job Overview TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service.
They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners.
They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage.
Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
What your background should look like.
This position will have responsibility for developing, executing and maintaining Sourcing commodity strategies and processes within the NA & SA region.
They will be responsible for developing cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders that deliver commodity strategies and productivity in support of business requirements and goals while driving synergies across the NA&SA region.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications.
• Extensive knowledge of sourcing, strategic sourcing processes, negotiation experience • Experience in commodity management of Resins, esp.
in Masterbatch • Demonstrated experience with leveraged agreements, multi-year contracts • Knowledge of contract law • Strong data mining and analysis skill-set • Proactive, positive communication skills • Demonstrated ability to create and execute a vision, as well as an ability to work within larger organizational objectives • Ability to build consensus across multiple organizations and all levels of the enterprise • Capable of moving past barriers and building out bridges to new customers • Self-directed & motivated • Capable of independently leading multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to multi-task projects and assess priorities in a complex and demanding environment • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication & presentation skills • Bias for action/self-starter • Effective facilitator, coach and trainer • Demonstrated program management skills and ability to drive projects to completion • Ability to handle multiple customers/priorities with minimal supervision under challenging conditions • Ability to travel and work in a virtual environment • BA/BS in Business or other relevant discipline.
5+ years of relevant Sourcing experience #LI-Remote Travel.
