STRATEGIC OPERATIONS MANAGER, FINANCIAL PRODUCTS

About the Role** The Regional Operations Manager II role on the Strategic Operations and Financial Products team is an outstanding opportunity to help expand one of Uber’s most innovative functions on the Financial Products Team.
This is a meaningful role to supervise, drive and improve operations in the in-company entrepreneurial world of FinTech across USA, Canada and LATAM.
This operations-driven role calls for a rare combination of creative problem solving, detail orientation, data analysis, market research and interpersonal ability to manage stakeholders.
This role will work closely with cross-functional internal counterparts and external parties to lead high impact initiatives across multiple markets while offering ownership and autonomy over your work.
This person will work in the Financial Business Group collaborating with the Mobility and Delivery team, Strategy & Planning, Business Development and the Tech team.
**What you'll do:** - Be owner - Take ownership of Financial Product growth across USA, Canada and LATAM and do everything you can to support and improve the quality of our services; We expect the candidate to be proactive and resourceful in order to remove road blockers and find creative solutions.
- Strategy - Define and choose which projects the team should prioritize, and set a timeline to reach goals quickly - Product Improvement - Proactively search for new features which could improve a seamless payment experience; Lead new product feature research and competitive analysis and proactively give feedback to our product team - Experiment.
perform analysis and experiments to find growth opportunities for the Financial Products at Uber - Develop & Optimize Processes - Scale new and existing processes to allow the business to efficiently operate and realize growth - Analytics - Analysis of transactions and financial product features, payment costs metrics to accurately allocate supply, guide incentive programs, and ensure high-quality experiences on the Financial Product experience.
- Develop and implement strategies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within Uber's gift card offerings.
**Basic Qualifications:** - Problem solving - Being able to solve issues that involve people, things, and processes by using logic, common sense and data.
Identifying the root cause of a problem as opposed to focusing on the symptoms.
- Great interpersonal skills - being able to lead a team to success as well as manage and influence relationships in a matrix environment.
- 5 years of robust work experience in startup, strategy, operations, analytics, business development, or a variety of other specialty roles with demonstrated ability in quantitative fields.
- Proven experience working in payments, banking, or fintech industry roles with a focus on transaction processing or financial operations.
**Preferred Qualifications** - MBA graduate or quantitative Bachelor's degree (engineering, mathematics, finance, economics, physics, etc.
