Software Developer II Overview.
A Sr Software Engineer at the Common Component Library (CCL) team will work on multiple initiatives connected to our CCL (source of truth for web items – from sliders to virtualized data grids) which is used by dozens of APP teams and thousands of final users.
Our job is to create, maintain and enhance custom elements so they can be used in BY products.
Our responsibilities involve web design, front end development and accessibility assessments to ensure our elements provide the best experience possible.
Scope.

Develop web components under BY general rules for design.
Support.
Support applications teams under BY to enable our component features and answer questions related to our repository.
Project management.
Lead multiple development initiatives to enhance our repository and the overall experience for our users.
Our current technical environment.
JavaScript/TypeScript with React Framework Our Pipeline runs under Microsoft Azure, GitHub Workflows and Black Duck / Codacy for policies enforcement.
What you’ll do.
Under this job you will work with JavaScript/Typescript to define web components such as atoms, molecules and very complex organisms that will be used in many different applications across the company.
Besides Development, the candidate must be open for sharing knowledge with its peers and provide support for the internal community who uses our library.
Enhancements will be delivered daily, and the candidate must be proficient in Cloud SaaS under a CI/CD methodology.
What we are looking for.
For a Sr Software Engineer with a deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React framework.
The candidate must be a team player, capable of sharing knowledge with its teammates, external developers and final users.
The candidate must be proficient on web development best practices and patterns.
Any experience related to UX design and Accessibility assessments is extremely valuable.
