SR MOLDING ENGINEER

The Sr Molding Engineer provides guidance and direction through a combination of personal knowledge and experience, and through external consultants and partners.
Expertise will include polymer related additive manufacturing processes.
Qualifications 1.
Education level required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Master's degree in Business Administration preferred.
2.
Years and area of experience required Minimum of 5 years molding experience.
3.
Technical knowledge • Bilingual (English and Spanish).
• Molding operations management experience.
• Experience in strategic and annual planning.
• Experience with project planning.
• Experience in international operations support.
• Experience with working with molding suppliers.
• Experience with CIF, Lean, Six Sigma, Quality Management Systems, and EHS implementations associated with molding operations.
• Expertise in materials, tools, machines, and approaches for different molding technologies including thermoset compression, thermoset/thermoplastic injection and transfer molding • Understands materials, machines, and approaches for polymer additive manufacturing processes including polymer powder bed fusion, vat photopolymerization, material extrusion, material jetting, and binder jetting.
• Financial acumen and experience with business case development.
• Working knowledge of business management systems (MRP, order management).
• Working knowledge of sustainability issues associated with molding operations.
• Has led major improvement initiatives without direct reporting authority.
4.
Soft Skills • Effective communicator within environments ranging from shop floor kaizen teams to operations leadership stakeholder groups.
