SR APPLICATION ENGINEER

Aptiv team is looking for a highly motivated Application Engineer in our Saltillo or Juarez, Mexico facility to support customer and internal functions in exceeding customer expectation.
The successful candidate will be the face of Aptiv engineering within the assigned customers (OEM’s + Tiers), while pursuing new business opportunities to increase Aptiv component penetration and providing Voice-of-the-Customer feedback to our internal teams, will possess a solid work ethic and be a great communicator with a knack for developing trust and confidence in Aptiv.
The Application Engineer will also be responsible for releasing Aptiv parts at customers, integration into the vehicle/system, gathering customer requirements, managing the change control process and pursuing new business/new technology opportunities.

Key Job Responsibilities).
Maintain and grow customer relationships within multiple customer engineering teams Identify and evaluate new component business opportunities through customer interaction and communication Capture and understand customer requirements for new product applications (technical, timing, validation, etc.) and communicate back to internal organization Capture and summarize “Voice of the Customer” Provide Connection Systems Engineering Customer support (prints, specification, validation testing, samples, etc.) Support internal quote process (F3X, Pre-PXRB, PXRB) Support and/or create internal and customer reviews (design reviews, customer technical reviews, customer component evaluation, vehicle packaging review, etc.) Provide customer pre-launch/launch support Provide customer formal and open issue tracking Support customer and internally initiated change management (technical details, coordination, timing, etc.) Be the point of contact with OEM, vehicle platform teams and Harness Makers (Tiers) Ensure timing Aptiv and customer plans are correct and that risks are identified Ability and willingness to travel as needed (less than 25%) Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements Curiously investigates everything with an ability to solve problems analytically, creatively and collaboratively Leads with confidence and empowers those around them Embraces resilience; sees every challenge as a learning opportunity and invitation to grow Your Required Background (i.

Must Haves).
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 3+ years of experience of wiring design or manufacturing with automotive connection systems including.
housings, terminals and high speed cable assemblies, wiring design or manufacturing 3+ years of experience as application engineer or similar position.
3+ years of experience with role involving customer interfacing 3+ years of experience within the automotive industry Excellent time management and work prioritization skills Assertive attitude Excellent English oral and written communication skills Basic PC skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Chrome, Skype, Teams, Webex.
