About the job The Record to Report team is looking for a Sr.
Accountant to provide leadership for processes and controls related to the general ledger.
Our team supports the Americas Accounting Service Center by preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and other month end close activities reporting to the Manager, Accounting who is based in the United States.
As a Sr.
Accountant, you will.
- Prepare journal entries to support the monthly close activities in accordance with US GAAP - Prepares financial reports for general management use.
- Maintains company journals and ledgers.
- Performs reconciliations of company financial data, research variances, and adjusts as needed.
- Enters, reviews, and/or approves financial transactions in company financial systems.
- Support and maintain internal control processes and procedures.
- Interprets and analyzes financial reports for organization management.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications - 8 years of accounting experience in a large multinational corporate environment with experience in US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and controls.
- Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent in accounting or related field.
CPA certification preferred or other recognized accountancy qualification.
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
- Excellent ability to understand and apply generally accepted accounting principles.
- Intermediate Proficiency in Excel - Proficient in English with ability to listen and communicate both verbally and in writing - Ability to analyze data and make suggestions for adjustment or process improvements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
