SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

DocEng organization is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager (+10 years of experience as Software Development Manager).
As a member of the Information Development organization, the Development Manager takes an active role in the definition and evolution of Development practices and procedures.
The Document Engineering Tools are used by User Assistance (UA) Information Developers (technical writers) to perform their daily task of creating, maintaining and delivering product documentation.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical applications in area of specialization.
Leading contributor individually and as a manager, providing direction and mentoring to others.
The Development Manager manages a team of developers, who develops and enhanced applications with top of the art technologies.
The Development Manager responsibilities include:•Managing Team of developers to.
Develop new applicationsoDevelop enhancements to current applicationsoHelp and support developers during implementationsoCareer path definitionoDay to day tracking (no micromanagement)•Manage QA engineers assigned to his/her team•Provide Technical Support to developers•Work with Architects to define architecture designs•Define and ensure the team follows development best practice, high level of code quality, code coverage measured by Sonar•Able to manage and coordinate with other teams like Sustaining Engineering Team•Planning and Implementing requirements on timely manner and high level of quality•Creating Metrics via JIRA Dashboards•Building the team (interviewing new candidates for the Development position).•Developing and maintaining a development workflow process for team to adhere to.
Qualifications, working knowledge / experience in the following areas are mandatory.•Agile Planning using Scrum•JIRA Metrics and Dashboard Creation•High code quality standards and design patterns knowledge•Development Best Practices•Open for collaboration and supportive attitude•Innovative thinking Technical Skills / Working knowledge of the following areas are mandatory:•Javascript•HTML, XHTML, XML, XSLT, CSS•Rest Services•Docker Containers•Microservices based applications•Database / SQL•QA Automation frameworks like Selenium and/or Cypress Strong Agile based management skills.
