e are looking to build a Consumer Products team to help amplify impact and conversation through our fandom and love around titles, developing new channels for consumers and communities to interact with Netflix.
e are pursuing a Softlines Category Specialist for Consumer Products Mexico to drive meaningful show awareness/buzz with more tangible, curated ways for fans to interact with our most popular content and, in effect, drive long-term revenue.
HE ROLEThe Softlines Category Specialist (SCS) is responsible for developing and executing against a long-term business strategy for Mexico in the Softlines sub-categories.
such as Apparel, Fashion Accessories, Health & Beauty and Home Goods.
As part of the Mexico team, the SCS will be responsible for growing the CP business in line with divisional strategies and guidelines whilst leveraging a strong knowledge of the market according needs and opportunities.
You will be responsible for identifying the best licensees to partner with, gain mkt support, drive innovation and quality product ranges, provide input into deals, accurately forecast and promote the retail sell-in of core ranges.
ey ResponsabilitiesWith direction from the Licensing manager in Mexico, develop a clear growth strategy for each subcategory of business (including targets) and benchmark progress.
dentify opportunities and fill gaps by IP, product sub-category, consumer & market channel.
egotiate the best deals and manage the process from contract to product development and execution.
xecute new business development pitches and identify scalable opportunities that generate impact and conversation (GAPs for new business opportunities).
ollaborate closely with Merchandise Strategy teams to develop and update strategies for Global and local titles in Mexico and Nola.
aintain and update internal systems and docs with category licensing plans and activity.
ollaborate with licensing partners to obtain placement updates.
ssist Licensing Manager Mexico with compiling licensing recaps following product launches.
andle daily tactical business needs in the back office, managing operational tools such as deal memos, contracts, NDA's obtaining approvals with producers and partners.
ork closely with Finance and ops teams with the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasting, and budget process as directed.
Facilitate receipt of forecasts and send royalty payment reminders as needed.
artner with Creative teams to keep product development on track to attain commercial objectives.
evelop a detailed post-mortem agenda for the main licensed programs.
rovide support to the Licensing manager in coordinating sales/retailers presentations for business purposes.
ollaborate with agencies in developing sales briefs and product pitches for selling the programs.
ualifications7+ years of experience in the licensing industry at similar positions (or Category Management).
ffective multi-tasker with excellent planning and prioritization skills, capable of creating, driving, and executing initiatives to tight deadlines.
mpeccable written and spoken English and Spanish communication skills.
ackground in building brands across various channels of distribution.
