SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER (MEXICO)

is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico.

You will be critical in ensuring the online platform's reliability, performance, and scalability.
To optimize and maintain the systems, infrastructure, and applications, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, DevOps engineers, and IT operations.
Your expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving will be instrumental in identifying and resolving technical issues, ensuring uninterrupted operations, and enhancing the overall user experience.
Requirements.
5+ years of experience in a SRE or similar role.
3+ years of experience supporting containerized production services using Kubernetes.
2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration tools like Terraform and Ansible.
1+ year of recent experience in the cloud (Google Cloud Platform preferred, AWS and Azure will also be considered).
Strong knowledge of scripting and programming languages like Bash and Python.
Excellent knowledge of one operating system (Windows or Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
Good understanding of internet application protocols (DHCP, DNS, HTTPS, SSH, etc.).
Understanding how DevOps practices (CI/CD) and SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices (SLOs (Service Level Objectives), SLIs (Service Level Indicators) can be applied to your daily work.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science degree or similar or equivalent experience.
Upper-Intermediate level of English.

Previous experience working in e-commerce environments.
Google Cloud Platform Professional certifications.
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) credentials.
Responsibilities.
Work on service resiliency, performance tuning, and design.
Drive resolution of critical incidents and work on making sure fixes are methodically implemented through post-mortems.
Work on toil reduction by designing and implementing automation.
Work with other Site Reliability Engineers, developers, and architects to evaluate and implement best practices for current and future workloads.
Plan and develop infrastructure capacity in the cloud.
Monitor system health and capacity and take proactive action to fix problems before they occur.
Collaborate with engineering teams to build, deploy, and support features.
Participate in the on-call support rota Projects you could work on.
Perform tuning and capacity management for ecommerce applications.
Implement SLI (Service Level Indicator), SLOs, and error budgets for the project.
Collaborate with engineers solving live incidents and follow through with post-mortem activities.
Build and support systems for internal and external customers spread across multiple regions.
Workload modernization and migration to Google Cloud Platform.
Provide technical assistance to other engineers to build world-class e-commerce applications.
