Senior Analyst I – Chassis (Tyres, Brakes, Power Steering, Suspension) The Team.
Within S&P Global’s Mobility division, the Supply Chain, Technology & Aftermarket team is responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving our insights and data assets that provide our client base with intelligence on these critical areas of the automotive value chain.
Whilst the subject matter of the team straddles fifteen topical supply chain areas, this role will encompass a North American-based research and remit into the Chassis Domain, that includes topics as Tyres, Brakes, Power Steering and Suspension, with a particular interest in technology development, material choices and sustainability-related matters.
The Impact Traditional chassis components are changing fast due to electrification, to by wire systems like Brake-by-wire or Steer-by-wire.
As we assist our client base in successfully navigating these challenges, we are looking for a Senior Analyst to support our product development activities, build client relationships from both a research and commercial perspective, whilst acting as an ambassador for the work of the team in North America.

You will join the diverse, talented and intellectually curious MVD (Material and Vehicle Dynamics) team of thirteen analysts who are experts in their respective areas and regions, working creatively to build objective insights on Chassis matter.

You will grow your contact network and could develop a holistic understanding of automotive industry dynamics.

Responsibilities.
Conduct primary and secondary research to build in-depth understanding of automotive Chassis market as it relates to regulations, specifications and supply chain trends.
Present findings/data via webinars and at conferences/tradeshows/client events.
Nurture a network of contacts at automotive companies, both OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
Respond to client product inquiries and support them with email, telephone and face-to-face meetings.
Project work involvement, including cross-regional and cross-team projects as needed.
What We’re Looking For.
Tier-1/OEM Chassis (Tyres, Brakes, Power Steering and/or Dampers) relevant experience is required.
A degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical or Chemical Engineering is preferable but not essential.

or other science-based degree qualifications will be accepted if supported by relevant experience.
Proven understanding of current and future trends in automotive Chassis at the OE level, aftermarket knowledge would be considered as a plus.
Passion and knowledge of automotive and technology.
Proven connections/entry points in the automotive industry.
Demonstrated analytical and data interpretation skills.
Proficiency with MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Understanding of database mechanics helpful but not essential, knowledge of basic database management tools would be preferred, e.
SQL, Access, Knime.
Fluency in English, knowledge of another language would be considered a plus.
Strong presentations skills and comfortable in client interactions a plus.
