Job Description We are currently looking for a co-op to join our R&D Engineering team in our Westborough, MA office.
This 6-month co-op assignment will run from July through December .
This is a full-time opportunity involving hours per week at an hourly rate of $.
As an R&D Engineering Co-Op, you will contribute to our mission by working with the teams responsible for delivering medical products to market.

The co-op’s project work will be directed by the Project Engineer and will contribute to the efforts of the cross-functional team.
He/she should be expected to also work independently with minimal supervision in the lab, summarizing data, and writing technical reports.

Job Duties The co-op will work in the research and development department primarily focused on urology surgical devices.
The candidate will assist with activities such as collecting R&D data, creating and modifying designs/drawings utilizing SolidWorks, testing prototype devices for functionality, writing technical reports, making presentations and giving weekly team updates.
The ideal candidate will have previous work experience in a research lab or the medical device industry.
The ability to work as a team and hit the ground running is a major plus.
Job Qualification Required.
Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited 4-year institution; preferred fields of study include Engineering, Biology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Must complete freshman year before the co-op begins and graduate after the co-op ends.

​​​​​​​Basic engineering knowledge, including mathematical skills in Calculus and Physics.
Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.
Demonstrated ability to balance academic and extracurricular commitments (i.
.
work experience, clubs, volunteer activities, teams, etc.).
Preferred.
Good written and verbal communications skills.​​​​​​​ Mathematical skills in Statistics, Calculus and Physics MATLAB, C, Python, Java / Coding experience is a plus Experience with Arduino, Beagle Board, Raspberry PI is a plus.
Previous work experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
Experience with a CAD design package, preferably SolidWorks is a plus Hands-On experience in a lab and shop environment is a plus.
