descripción y detalle de las actividades to schedule and buy materials and production components to meet our customer’s requirements while maximizing value and minimizing total cost through utilization of jit/kanban among other lean manufacturing/abs tools.
along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
• implement, sustain and improve kanban system for specific areas in the business unit and contribute on the inventory accuracy.
• minimize material stock-outs, applying problem solving process (psp) • contrubute to achieve >95% otd per thomson metrics • buy mro and production supplies as needed • place purchase orders for materials and confirm delivery with suppliers, expedite material as needed • lead lean materials process improvement initiatives • drive inventory reduction and cost savings through abs tools and supplier negotiations • coordinate schedules with outside suppliers and internal operations • work closely with internal customers to prioritize production schedule and backlog • monitor kanban & spike orders and resize (re-calculate bins) to current demand patterns • active participation in inventory reduction, and cost savings projects • resolve invoice matching issues with accounts payable.
• support customer service, product managers, quality and engineering as required • acitve participation in daily order review meetings with operations • active participation in daily management meeting with operations
