MAINTENANCE PLANNER BUYER

This role is responsible planning, co-ordination of maintenance, engineering, production and associated groups regarding methods, equipment and other resources necessary for specific parts or programs.
It also consists of developing, in concert with associated groups, related plans and schedules to meet requirements.
Under general direction, perform supply management and scheduling duties typically involving moderate financial commitments or technical complexities.
Negotiate prices and terms consistent with the Company's established quality standards and business requirements.
Your responsibilities Provide and request parts and other materials necessary to repair equipment and assets as applicable.
Conduct analyses, negotiate or participate in related negotiations, and prepare related documents as needed Conduct, as applicable, in-depth evaluations of suppliers, vendors, and technical support providers relative to uptime, quality, timeliness, and ability to comply with various Company requirements.
As appropriate, recommend alternative sources to minimize problems Review maintenance requirements as per preventive maintenance schedules, planned work request, and machine repairs.
Schedule resources to maximize contribution to internal customer needs.
Work closely with internal customers to meet demands in timely manner Review various information relative to terms, contracts and compliance with legal requirements and Company policy.
Resolve or assist in resolving claims, disputes and other issues and ensure the interests of the Company are protected.
Review questionable situations and interact with other groups to achieve resolution Strive for continuous improvement in such matters as cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
Search for and recommend changes such as utilization of new technologies and implementation of other measures to achieve operating efficiencies and increase customer satisfaction.
May provide technical assistance to less experienced staff Your background Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate degree and 4+ years of relevant experience Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Transformers in Reynosa, MX Working knowledge of maintenance MRP systems, preferably SAP Requires understanding of maintenance matters and supply management as related to manufacturing maintenance requirements
