Leads a team of Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and sustainability advisors and specialists and builds and ensures capability/expertise in the team to support line managers and employees in the implementation of policies, standards, programs, and practices in their assigned area of responsibility.
Your responsibilities Serves as the primary HSE interface within their assigned area of responsibility and cultivates a high performance culture with a strong focus on HSE Management and development of employees in occupational safety and related specialist areas such as sustainability and the company medical interface Ensures that HSE capabilities are optimized and aligned to standards, processes, guidelines, and best practices Oversees and drives sustainability activities in accordance with DIN EN ISO and preparing recertification and documentation obligations under ISO and Ensures that the appropriate HSE-related equipment and tools are available and used effectively Oversees HSE risk assessment conducted by the line management and ensures all necessary preventive measures against the identified hazards are implemented Ensures the HSE incidents are reported to the management and relevant stakeholders and takes appropriate actions Drives behavioral change through the local implementation of and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices Embeds an exemplary health and safety culture and a strong focus on the environment across their respective organization Reports HSE performance and progress with respect to the implementation of the group-level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as required Participates in determining the annual budget for their own area of responsibility and is accountable for managing performance against agreed financial targets Drives HSE-related learning across the organization for continuous improvement Your background At least 5 years of experience in the field of HSE (more experience is welcomed) Experience in managing a cross functional team Master in Health, Environment and Safety or a related field Strong Process Improvement & Optimization skills Project management Knowledge of general Finance and budgeting processes Strong sense of safety, compliance and sustainability Fluency in German, good knowledge of English Beneficial.
