The Team.
In this Consulting Analyst position you will work directly with automotive clients to support the delivery of bespoke projects as part of the S&P Global Mobility Consulting Services Practice.
The automotive industry is facing disruptive changes such as electric vehicles, connected cars and digitized retailing.
These mega trends affect the way manufacturers and importers plan their dealer networks for the future.
Network Planning projects help optimize the future dealer location footprint, market coverage and sales penetration.
Responsibilities and Impact.
Connect the dots between S&P Global’s industry-leading data assets to answer our clients’ most pressing business questions.
This includes processing and analyzing of data, conducting market research, and building customized metrics.
Support the formal presentation of recommendations back to client stakeholders through the creation of maps outputs and development of custom reports.
Utilize GIS technology to perform location planning analysis.
Provide insight into workflow documentation and improvements Become an expert in the future challenges facing automotive retailing and stay well informed of the latest industry trends.
What We’re Looking For.
Basic Required Qualifications.
A degree in Applied Geography, Geomatics, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Business Informatics, or similar.
Strong analytical skills; a passion for data and uncovering insight; and experience handling large datasets.
Knowledge of GIS concepts and software (preferably Esri ArcMap).
Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint.
Additional Preferred Qualifications.
Alteryx and Tableau software skills preferable.
Effective time keeping & organizational skills.
The ability to work independently & pro-actively in a global team.
Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Independent learning and accountability.
Experience in automotive would be beneficial, though not essential.
