Foreign Trade Operations Coordinator Join the K Family in Queretaro as Foreign Trade Operations Coordinator.
Lead Foreign Trade  operations team and external contractors/logistic suppliers to execute on time, within budget, complying with foreign trade legislation and Kellanovas' policies, all exports and imports of finished goods From US, Mexico and CARICAM to LATAM region; contributing to the operational efficiency, looking for opportunities of cost reduction, always in full compliance with foreign trade regulations, in order to provide a high service level to the region enabling the accomplishment of Business Units growth plan.
This position reports to LA Foreign Trade Manager.
This position have direct reports.
(Foreign Trade Coordinator and Foreign Trade Executive and Foreign Trade Jr Executive).
This position requires availability to travel 20% of the time.
It s key internal contacts are CSL Directors, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Finance, Operations, Procurement Indirect, Innovation, Lpm's, Legal, Tax, Labeling & Regulatory, Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing, GBS, LA Planning & Foreign Trade Contacts.
External Contacts.
LCT, Carriers, Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders, Raw Material, Spare Parts, Promotion & Packaging Suppliers and Customers/Distributors.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing Responsible for the operational alignment and execution with Supply Chain to monitor product availability and to fulfill the shipping plan for KNA, Mexico and CARICAM countries.
Report the fulfillment status of the shipping plan, keeping a daily management system in place and reporting in a monthly basis the On-Time-Delivery and Fill-rate indicators according to the KPIs guidelines.
To control and reduce end-to-end distribution cost and lead times through efficient operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives, coordinating internally and with external suppliers.
Report in a monthly basis the Budget cost vs the Actual cost of all import/export transactions around the region, as well as the Savings report according to the KPIs guidelines.
Define SLAs with logistic suppliers, measuring performance trough supplier evaluation meetings in participation with Procurement and direct reports.
Develop reliable suppliers.
Report in a monthly basis the supplier performance results, with indicators of On-Time-Delivery, On-Time-Load, Tender acceptance, Customs clearance time, etc., according to KPI definition.
Provide input for the international transportation bids and implement all the related operational processes.
Calculate the planned expense for budget, transportation market cost index and any other exercise required by Finance.
Generate ISP and landed cost for all materials trough the region.
Ensure strict adherence to the budget and manage the RACI cost approval matrix for extra/additional logistic costs.
Responsible to ensure the foreign trade logs are up to date and completed on time, including budgeted and actual logistic costs, contributing with the Foreign Trade AP Supervisor, GBS STP and Finance to ensure accrual clearings.
Your Recipe for Success Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, International transportation related.
6+ years of experience in Ocean, Intermodal and Road freight international transportation from US, Mexico and CARICAM; US-Mexico and Mexico-CENAM crossborder operation, management of logistic suppliers performance and invoice audinting and settlement process.
Strong analytical skills, decision quality, as well as accountable and results driver.
Strong SAP, PC, Excel and other related tools knowledge.
Fluent English is a must.
