Department Overview The Global Procurement Organization provides the resources, processes, governance, systems and controls for acquiring goods and services efficiently, effectively and ethically from a diverse supply base that provides Motorola Solutions a competitive advantage on cost, quality, technology, service and delivery.
The Product Procurement Organization is responsible for the acquisition of all Hardware, Software and Supply Chain Services required for Motorola to design, build and distribute Radio and Accessory products.
The Global Procurement team is evolving from more traditional sourcing and procurement goals by looking beyond simple cost savings and creating value for the corporation by improving product profitability, increasing supplier collaboration and leveraging supplier roadmaps to bring new solutions to our business partners.

Job Description Motorola Solutions is seeking a Procurement Manager to work at any of our locations in Chicago or Guadalajara (Hybrid) managing our EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services).
The job responsibilities include.
Contract negotiations and EMS management.
Obtain the best terms and contractual conditions while ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
Manage the EMS daily to achieve high performance, cost transparency, and savings in accordance with the organization's strategic goals.
Execute strategic initiatives, requests for quotations and cost reduction events.
Define and improve sourcing strategies at business or site level.
Developing and influencing category strategies that align with organizational objectives.
Support New Product Introductions to drive optimal cost for the organization in the region in line with short, medium and long term strategies.
Build strong and collaborative relationships with the EMS to develop a trusted relationship over time.
Performing quarterly business reviews (QBR) with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure compliance and continuous improvement Engages cross-functional colleagues (quality, technical, operations, finance, etc.) in category sourcing activities to ensure alignment with common goals and priorities Job requirements.
An advanced level of understanding of the EMS industry, manufacturing processes, and cost control (P&L) Ability to influence and shape category strategies.
Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding savings targets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships.
A US Visa and passport (for Mexican workers).
Fluent in English, Spanish a plus.
Up to 25% travel domestically and to Mexico to visit MSI sites and key suppliers #LI-DR2 Basic Requirements A bachelor's degree and three years of experience in the EMS industry.
Must have at least five years of years of strategic procurement, supply chain management, sourcing, program management or finance experience in a large matrixed organization.
