We are looking for Database Administrator.
The Database Administrator (DBA) plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our SQL Server databases.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, help design, maintain, and enhance our database systems to support our internal applications and provide seamless data access to our employees.
Main responsibilities.
Manage, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
Collaborate with the architectural team to implement and adhere to best practices, standards, and guidelines for database design, development, and optimization.
Develop, implement, and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers to support.
ET applications' data access needs.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries for improved responsiveness and efficiency.
Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance on database-related issues and performance optimizations.
Work with the DevOps team to integrate continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) solutions into database deployments.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure the database environment is properly configured and optimized for performance.
Participate in troubleshooting and resolving database-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Monitor and manage database capacity, growth, and resource utilization to ensure scalability.
Requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server database administration.
Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization.
Experience with version control, preferably using Bitbucket.
Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Familiarity with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
Knowledge of database backup and recovery mechanisms.
Experience with implementing security measures and access controls.
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD implementation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional Agile development environment.
Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning tools.
Ability to work with architectural teams to adhere to coding and database standards.
