Bachelor's degree (COMERCIO EXTERIOR o CARRER AFIN) Bilingual English MS Office Excel Availability of schedule Trade Agreements and Preferences.
Assessing and leveraging trade agreements and preferences to optimize duty rates.
Ensuring compliance with rules of origin for preferential trade programs.
Ensuring the correct application of PROSEC and rule 8 TH programs.
Compliance Monitoring.
Monitoring and ensuring compliance with Mexican customs laws and regulations.
Conducting internal audits to identify and address any compliance issues.
Expert in annex 24 and annex 30 Data Analysis.
Analyzing data related to import and export activities to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential areas for improvement.
Utilizing data to optimize customs processes and reduce risks.
Communication with Customs Authorities.
Interacting with Mexican customs authorities to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure smooth clearance of goods.
Keeping abreast of any changes in customs procedures or requirements.
Risk Assessment.
Conducting risk assessments related to customs operations and identifying potential areas of risk.
Developing strategies to mitigate and manage customs-related risks.
Software Utilization.
Using customs software and electronic systems for the preparation and submission of declarations.
Staying updated on the functionality and requirements of relevant customs software.
Collaboration with Other Departments.
Coordinating with logistics, procurement, and other departments to facilitate seamless customs processes.
Providing support and expertise on customs matters to cross-functional teams.
Continuous Learning.
Keeping up to date with changes in international trade regulations and customs procedures.
Engaging in ongoing training to enhance knowledge and skills related to customs compliance.
