Job Summary   We are looking for a Customs Expert who will execute continuous improvement for all processes associated with import /export and ensure end-to-end daily activities defined into Customs RACI and compliance with all country rules and regulations.
You will work directly with regional and local teams with operational/tactical customs activities (import and export flow).
The position is responsible for the Annex and virtual operations assuring full compliance with laws, norms, Government programs requirements such as AEO, IMMEX, PROSEC and VAT-IMMEX, as well as non-tariff restrictions, Importer registry, Free Trade Agreements and logistics' regulations guarantying the different legal compliance affairs of the international trade operations at Tetra Pak Mexico.
This is position is based in Corregidora, Querétaro, Mexico, reporting directly to Foreign Trade Coordinator.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do   Drive operational performance of import, export and transit activities.
Optimization of operating costs within your local/region and reduce customs duty spend with the usage of applicable customs regimes.
Communication with customs authorities to ensure compliance, answer queries and providing support to stakeholders.
End-to-end daily activities defined into Customs RACI and compliance with country rules and regulations.
Execution for all processes for import /export, control of documented SOPs and working instructions.
Continuously monitor relevant (KPIs)  Avoid or mitigate any potential business continuity or economic risk related to Tetra Pak operational structure and its customs transactions, leading self-assessments and audits, quantifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure tariff classification of goods imported and exported, catalogue of materials required to support the Tariff classification.
Monitor the correct usage of Tariff Classification by all customs brokers.
Customs duties and VAT payments by defining mandatory rules.
Monitor changes and translate laws & regulations into executable rules, directions and guidelines and integrate them into day-to-day operations, either for Imports, Export, Virtual or any customs transaction or program, registry, or license obligation.
Ensure compliance of Annex , AEO, CTPAT, IMMEX, PROSEC and VAT-IMMEX registries.
Review and authorization of virtual custom declarations and the generation of free-letter declarations, pro-forma invoices and non-tariff regulation letters complying with customs and tax regulations.
Ensure the timely closure of virtual customs declaration and scrap destruction report to Tax authority.
Determine and monitor maximum weights authorized for virtual transfers.
Define usage and application of prove of origin in virtual transfers, regularizations and change of regimes, complying with Free Trade Agreement regulations.
Full validation and authorization of virtual customs declarations (V1), avoiding amendments.
Maintain up-to-date records of all digital files.
Customs declarations data, scrap destructions, catalogues and all the required information in the Annex .
Catalogue of materials, products, bill of materials and manage conversion factors for the different units of measure (purchase, customs declaration, good receipt, good issue, balance, invoicing) to ensure accurate data for all the materials and products.
On-time monitor and management of temporary imports terms and control of VAT credit account related to Annex 30  Monthly inventory balance reconciliations of Annex against ERP.
We believe you have   Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade Above 5 years of experience in foreign trade.
Experience using Software or SAP is a plus.
Proficient in English language (written and spoken).
Domain in the Office package mainly Excel.
Good relationship and communication skills.
Analytical, proactive and dynamic.
Strong stakeholders’ management.
