COST ANALYST JUNIOR

Objective
To ensure the inventory valuation is accurately presented on the financial statements according to both HK Group policies and procedures, and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
To record warehouse movements in accounting properly.

Role Responsibilities
Ensure the accounting records from purchasing and sales departments are properly presented according to HK Group policies and procedures.
Prepare working papers to generate reliable and timely information related to inventory for making financial decisions.
Analyze daily sales and identify any unusual transactions, items sold at zero cost, items sold with negative margin and review credit notes.
Assist in internal and external audits.

Core Functions
Review of daily stock report identify any unusual items or errors and correct them when necessary.
Calculate, analyze, and book in accounting Purchase Price Variance PPV. Investigate the reason for the most relevant PPV amounts, and the approver.
Calculate, analyze, and book in accounting inventory adjustments. Investigate the reason for the most relevant inventory adjustments.
Prepare and post journal entries at monthend.
