What we’re looking for 1-3 years of experience in the claims\/insurance industry.
Knowledge of reviewing and creating contracts is required.
Advanced MS Excel, communication, attention to detail and analytical skills.
Freight Forwarding experience is a plus but not required! Essential Duties and Responsibilities  Investigate claims to ascertain the validity of claims and the extent of company liability.
Processes freight and property claims for which the company is liable and submits claims to head office for settlement or negotiates settlement with the claimant and authorizes payment.
Communicate with customers, insurance companies, surveyors, and others regarding claim status and claim-related matters.
Tracks and maintains records of legal cases and claims to evaluate their relevance.
Keeps current on industry regulations and trends.
Assists the Sales team by selling and procuring Cargo insurance.
Education and\/or Experience Bachelor's degree in International Business and\/or relevant work experience.
