NEXGEN Asset Management is growing! Are you ready to join a winning team? NEXGEN is looking for a Business Development Representative with a bachelors degree, who is ready to build an exciting career in software sales in Sacramento, CA.
This position will focus growing our sales in the municipalities, utilities, and facility asset management markets.
Applicant must be an enthusiastic and highly organized individual who is confident and strategically minded.
Our ideal candidate is a problem solver who is outgoing, relational, and skilled at closing deals.
The Business Development Representative will coordinate the sales process at all stages of the sales pipeline for a cutting-edge enterprise asset management software solution (Enterprise Asset Management/Computerized Maintenance Management System) for high profile clients across the U.

and Canada.
This role will be responsible for managing a list of leads and opportunities, and nurturing prospects to move them along the sales cycle.
The Business Development Representative'srole will revolve around the ability to network and build relationships with clients by researching potential users, cold calling leads, scheduling product demos, following up with “hot” leads, and representing NEXGEN at conferences across the country.
The Business Development Representativeis part of the Business Development team and will report to the VP of Business Development.
This is full time position based out of our Sacramento, CA office.
JOB DUTIES.
Sales.
Manage/update/follow up with leads in CRM (Zoho CRM)Research and evaluate current and upcoming RFPs (request for proposals).
Help in the proposal creation process, including attending pre-proposal webinars and submitting questions to determine if NEXGEN should submit a proposal.
ake sales calls to new and existing clientsNurture opportunities along the sales pipeline to move towards eventual closureBecome an expert in government procurement processes and strategically influence purchasing decisionsAttend industry conferences (3-5 / year)Assist in pre/post conference marketing effortsPrepare agendas, content and demos for interviewsGenerate new leadsDevelop and conduct effective demos for potential clientsAssist in development of sales proposalsWork closely with project delivery team during new client handoverPerform quality checks on product and service deliveryBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships Business Strategy.
Establish and drive challenging yet realistic goals for salesUse discernment to decide go/no go for competitive bidsIdentify and nurture strategic partnerships to drive growthWork with IT to determine technical possibilities and map new areas of product develop to align with business goalsSpeak with industry experts to gain understanding of market needs POSITION REQUIREMENTS.
Bachelor’s degree required1-3 years previous sales experience preferred, bonus points if you have software sales experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivatedExcellent time management abilitiesTechnical aptitudeProactive personality driven to connect on a personal level with customers while identifying expansion opportunitiesAbility to identify customer needs and match them with available products and servicesWilling to work as a team player, helping others achieve successStrong ability to collaborate with internal team members while serving as the customer’s central point of contactExcellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsUnderstanding of customer centric selling and sales process is a plusAbility to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex documents/workflow diagramsAbility to creatively address concerns or present solutions on the spot GENERAL SKILLS.
