Accountant Job Description.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of activities, including the review and approval of bank reconciliation entries, preparation of revenue analysis for finance calls during month-end closing, and analysis of Cross Border Settlement Transactions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting through monthly reviews of bank reconciliation files and reconciliation of settlement balances in our product platform and accounting system.
Key Responsibilities.
• Review and approval of bank reconciliation entries - Review and approve bank reconciliation entries in accounting system to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
Conduct monthly reviews of bank reconciliation files, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Preparation of revenue analysis (GMR Reconciliation) - Compile and analyze revenue data for presentation in finance calls during month-end closing, ensuring thorough GMR reconciliation.
• Settlement transactions analysis - Conduct analysis of settlement balances reconciling balances in product platform versus accounting system.
• Ad-Hoc reporting - Generate ad-hoc reports as required by the manager, providing insightful financial information to support decision-making.
• Assist in audit preparation - Collaborate in the preparation and review of audit requirements, ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
Coordinate the audit process with relevant personnel, facilitating a smooth and efficient audit process.
• Monitoring of audit requirements - Monitor and stay abreast of audit requirements, proactively addressing any issues or concerns.
• Financial Statement Reconciliation - Reconcile audited financial statements versus trial balance, ensuring alignment and accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, bank reconciliation, and audit preparation.
• Strong proficiency in Oracle and other financial software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
