What's the role? We are looking for a Sales Account Manager to join our Rail technical sales team in the UK.
Selling to and developing customers on relevant Hilti products.
The Rail team work with key stakeholders and partners from the Rail industry directly and work on some of the countries high profile Rail projects.
Our Specialist division work on major business areas relating to customers involving Government and Firestop, Building Envelope (Façade), Diamond and Rail across the UK.

What does the role involve? Ours is a model of professional consultative selling, and it’s a really hands-on job.
It means rolling up your sleeves to demonstrate some of the most pioneering products in the industry, along with all the services and after-care that come with the Hilti name.
Far from traditional cold calling, it’s about nurturing relationships and developing contacts on site with warm customers and helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs.
On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to.
Go out into the field to see our customers, ask them open questions to understand their needs and provide a tailor-made solution Demonstrate our innovative products and state-of-the-art software to customers on-site Further develop ‘focus’ customers by building relationships, as well as uncovering new business leads Be responsible for the operational, organisational and strategic management of your sales area, fully utilizing the top-in-class CRM system, Salesforce You’ll be managing your own time – your vehicle is your office and you’ll be responsible for setting your own diary to ensure you’re visiting your customers when they need you so you need to be a self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously.
You’ll be part of a supportive, field-based regional team who are only a phone call away but you’ll be working by yourself on the whole, so you need to be comfortable with building relationships remotely and motivating yourself.

Customer-facing/sales experience gained in any industry Construction industry/ technical experience desirable but not essential Solution-oriented approac h – you have the ability to uncover customers’ pain points and needs in order to provide our best-suited solutions You share our values – commitment, teamwork, courage and integrity Resilience and adaptability – you will be comfortable to meet all levels of customer from a site operator to managing director Drive – a motivated approach to achieving success and overcoming challenges Curiosity – you have a passion to learn, develop and grow Organizational skills – you are excellent at managing your time and priorities, and can easily work autonomously A full, clean, manual UK driving license to visit our customers on site 5 days a week, Monday to Friday Who should apply?
