The Industrial Planner is in charge of organizing production and coordinating orders and manufacturing.
He or she is responsible for setting planning standards and overseeing plan performance.
Major areas of responsibility include.
* Develop an achievable production schedule to meet customer commitments using computer based scheduling tools.
* Process jobs from order entry through commitments to final customer, this includes configure products structure, create routing, WO’s creation, scheduling, and provide factory commitment date.
* Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay * Coordinate priorities with customer service and other planners as needed.
* Keep track of orders and daily review ongoing orders with Operations team in order to provide timely feedback to CS/Sales teams (internal and external) in the unlikely cases of delays which can affect factory commitment dates * Consolidate similar demands (artworks, colors, materials) in order to decrease machine setups and optimize productivity * Accurately maintain product structure and routes * Monitor inventory of production materials and requisition inventory as needed to support production.
* Implement and maintain ERP features (use of safety stock, etc) to assist in managing inventory.
* Apply professional methods and concepts to forecast and maintain the MRP system to maximize on ERP to trigger material ordering requirements.
* Responsible to make sure material with a shelf life is monitored and used appropriately in a FIFO order to minimize risk of expired/obsolete material.
*Work with Purchasing on optimal inventory replenishment methods and schedule for each stocked material.
Material plan will be developed taking into account production schedules, peak demands, storage limitations and vendor lead-times *Negotiate delivery lead time for raw materials.
*Develop reports to monitor inventory status and metrics.
*Creation and follow up of Purchase Request and Purchase Orders Chorus Role(s) [Insert Chorus Role(s) link here, if applicable] Minimum Requirements.
Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language [Include minimum experience qualifications, required proficiencies with specialized knowledge, computer proficiencies, etc.
*Organizational skills * Computer skills are required in PC applications (e-mail, spreadsheets etc..) and database applications (Oracle).
* Communication skills are needed to understand the customer requirements and communicate any issues.
* Good researching skills Minimum Requirements.

– Good researching skills Experience in MRP Strong at math and statistics Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Knowledge of production and materials processes Customer Oriented Basic knowledge of Production Planning and Control  Analytical and logical skills Education.
Bachelor’s Degree *2-5 years of experience with the product structure and BOM (Bill of materials) Experience with MRP set up and materials planning.
