CONFIGURATIONS LEAD ENGINEER 3

Job Description Summary Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce and support design, manufacturing, and supplier or filed needs / issues to meet short term and long term business needs.
Lead and/or provide the key technical direction of several projects with business impact.
Be up to date and be a leader in own technical specialty to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologies for product introduction, quality, cost improvements and problem resolution.
Support internal and external customers and suppliers as required.
Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Coach and mentor other in the analysis, design, test and/or integration related to assigned components, assemblies or process systems that meet business standards, practices and procedures, and meet the product/program requirements.
Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements.
Provide technical engineering support to improve or resolve design, manufacturing, supplier or field issues.
Provide technical engineering support to resolve NPI complex projects with business impact.
Document technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies processes and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments, using solid  principles of Project Management.
Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews.
Participate as chairman in internal technical reviews and Design Board forums.
Lead the solution of complex technical problems.
Concurrently work on multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality and ensuring schedule requirements are met.
Check own and other people’s work.
Recognized technical expert in relevant engineering domain.
Lead the implementation of innovative analysis design, development concepts of processes and systems.
Define technical schedule cost and / or program requirements.
Conduct assessments and develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.
Lead the development of components, assemblies, processes or systems and solve complex high impact problems.
Effectively communicate and provide recommendations to internal customers through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data.
Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organization.
Required Qualifications BS degree.
Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
Must be able to a day to day technical and non technical conversation fluidly and with full understanding.

Experience a presenter of projects in front of senior leadership, management, etc.
Demonstrated ability in managing projects across functions.

Ability in managing different projects in parallel, meeting business need dates.
Experience with FEM analysis and its interpretation.
GD&T knowledge Experience on working with suppliers Expertise in manufacturing processes.
